How do we get started?

Email or give me a call! Then we can set up a 15 minute free consultation. That will give me a chance to get to know what your needs are, for you to ask any questions and see if you feel I am a good fit for you.

Who do you work with?

I work with individuals age 12 and up and couples. My areas of expertise include: Anxiety, depression, overachieving professionals and career stress, life transitions, college and emerging adulthood, artists and creatives, LGBTQ+ individuals, TG/NB and gender transition.

What methods of therapy do you practice?

My work is often based in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and buddhist psychology, while also incorporating other person-centered and psychodynamic modalities.  With couples my work is rooted in the Gottman method, which is an evidence-based practice based on 40+ years of relationship research

Do you accept insurance?

I don’t accept insurance directly but if you have out-of-network benefits, some insurers will reimburse 60-80% of the  session fee. My session fee is $250 for individuals and $300 for couples. I do have a sliding scale so please inquire!

How do I know if I have out of network benefits?

Give your insurance company a call to ask!

Below are some good questions to ask so you get the best idea of your coverage.

  • Do my benefits include out-of-network coverage for outpatient therapy?

  • If there is out-of-network coverage, what is the coverage amount or percent of fee covered?

  • Is there an out-of-network deductible, and when does it apply?

  • Once I reach my deductible, what percentage is covered for out-of-network therapy?

  • Can you guide me through the reimbursement claim submission process?

  • When can I anticipate receiving reimbursement for my sessions?

What is your cancellation policy?

I have a 48 hour cancellation policy, which means that if you provide less than 48 hours notice of a cancellation you will be charged the full session fee. I will do my best to accommodate any rescheduling requests made in advance and will not charge you if we reschedule another session within the same week of your appointment.
